《启示录》中的第二次死亡：复活、审判与火湖
《启示录》第二十章把“第二次死亡”放在复活与末世审判的叙述中。20:6 说，参与第一次复活者是有福而圣洁的，第二次死亡对他们没有权柄；20:14 则将火湖称为第二次死亡。这是同章中彼此相关、但内容不同的两处经文。
因此，辨认“第二次死亡”的引文时，必须区分免于其权柄的祝福与对火湖的规定。前一表述应定位至 20:6。第二次死亡在这一文本中不是“所有人最终被遗忘”的同义语，也不能仅凭名称便等同于转世终止或一般意义上的解脱。
现代文学、哲学或精神分析文本可以另行使用“第二次死亡”，但那属于概念转用；《启示录》本身的经文语境不能由后来的比喻取代。
